From the Principal’s Desk:
I would like to welcome everyone back to school and extend a special welcome to all of our new students and their families. The staff and I are looking forward to another exciting year of learning at Glen Allen High School – Jaguar Nation! Our staff is well prepared for the opening of a new school year, and is excited and ready to greet them each day this year. We have new staff members in every department, and they are just as excited to begin the year with our students. Moreover, our parent/family support groups – PTSA and JAA (Jaguar Athletic Association) are up and running and are requesting family involvement to enhance programs, activities, and learning opportunities in the BEST high school in Henrico County. Please consider joining these organizations and supporting their goals.
Glen Allen High School’s vision is to provide a safe and engaging educational environment where ALL students are inspired to be their best selves and empowered to create a better tomorrow. We accomplish this vision by providing each student the opportunity to learn in an academically challenging environment that encourages critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity. Our students are active participants in this learning process that will inspire and empower them to become contributing members in a global society. The faculty and staff do this in “the pursuit of excellence” for our school community, where we value relationships, accountability, culture of kindness, and engagement.
As the proud principal of Glen Allen High School, it is my privilege to serve a great community. One of the most important aspects of my work here will be building strong relationships with students and families. My passion has been and always will be educating and inspiring students. With that in mind, my administrative team and I will work diligently with teachers to make sure our students are exposed to curriculum and instruction that is engaging and challenging. I’m excited about working with families in “the pursuit of excellence for all” at Glen Allen High School!
Sincerely,
Reginald V. Davenport, Ed.S.
Proud Jaguar Principal
